Trézor.io/start
Trézor.io/start is the official onboarding portal for setting up your Trézor hardware wallet. This is the only legitimate starting point for initializing your device, creating a secure PIN, and backing up your recovery phrase. The entire setup process takes approximately 10–15 minutes and guides you through every step.
Follow these steps to get started:
- Connect your device via USB or Bluetooth (Safe 7, Safe 5)
- Download and install Trézor Suite – the official companion app for desktop, iOS, and Android
- Choose a PIN code – 4 to 50 digits (avoid simple sequences like "12345")
- Write down your recovery phrase – 12, 20, or 24 words depending on your model. This is the only backup for your funds. Store it offline and never take a photo or save it digitally
- Confirm your phrase on the device screen
- Install apps and add accounts for the assets you want to manage
🔒 Critical Security Rule: Trézor will never ask for your recovery phrase. Never enter it into any website, app, or chat – it must only be entered on your Trézor device screen. If a site asks for it, you are on a phishing page – stop immediately and report it to Trézor support.
Only use the official URL – trezor.io/start – and avoid search ads or third-party links that may lead to phishing scams. Always verify the domain before entering any information.
